Dog fouling, 10th November

There is always dog mess on this little path, from lime crescent to the new development, which is a main footpath used by children going the the Herbert Strutt Primary School, although there is one bin, it never seems to be used, some signs as reminders at either end may be helpful. This is ongoing, somebody lets their dog foul on this pavement nearly every day. Thank you.

Bags of dog poo, 25th October

Some one is picking up their dog poo and putting it in orange bags than putting it in the waste bin instead of the dog poo bin on the field. I suspect that someone who dislikes this - is taking the ornge bags out of the bin and throwing them in the road-to make a point. very nasty very childish - but would be stopped if the person, who clears up after their dog put the poo in the correct bin

Rubbish, 8th October

We are finding that quite a few people are coming onto our land to throw their rubish down the bank on to the greenway. Whilst we make an effort to remove it, I have noticed this evening that a pallet has been thrown down there along with the packaging. I am 6 months pregnant and cannot remove the rubbish, I am also concerned for people walking along the greenway as this may fall on them. We also reported that when Alma Street was tarmaced the left over tarmac was also thrown down there along with the safety cones (after we had requested them to remove it from our driveway), this has been there for at least 9 months despite telephoning Amber Valley council complaining.

Litter / bins, 21st September

This area is frequently over-run with litter as small groups of people stand near the bus stop during the day and in the evening. Although there is a bin sited nearby, but it is too small to cope with the frequency of empting, leaving it overflowing within hours.

Overgrown trees in neighbouring garden, 2nd September

I would like to report a number of overgrown trees in the garden of The Green, Belper. This property has been empty for a couple of years and the garden at the back of the property has not been maintained. The trees are extremely high and overgrown (one fir tree must be 30-40ft high), obscure a pathway, and look very precarious when windy. I do not know who is the owner of the property so cannot contact/speak to them directly. Thank you.

This public footpath is disgraceful, 15th May

The houses at either side of this public footpath dump garden waste, students walking to school throw rubbish, there are bins, old bicycles, for sale signs, I know the council has tried before to clean up this area, but can they not do it once a year? instead of once every 5 years!! Thanks for your time.

Rubbish along the A610, 24th April

There is a gulley between road and farmland and it has rubbish all along it,from the sewage works on the right to the footpath to the left of the mark. It makes an otherwise pleasant walk an eyesore. Its not seen from the road only from the footpath so can be easily missed.

Rubbish, 16th March

Our street is full of litter that blows along from tesco's and that is left behind since the recycling box's have been introduced. I hardly ever see a street cleaner and am sick of the mess. My council tax has gone up and i expect my street to be clean and tidy but it never is. Why am i paying £1000 pound tax a year? What does that money actually go towards?

Speeding Traffic, 1st August

There has been much discussion but no action about the speeding traffic through the village - it affects all including endangering children from the local school who have to walk through the village from the school to the village hall for PE and assemblies etc (there is no reduced speed limit in the village even to accommodate the school). At night we are plagued by boy racers. There are critcially no speed inhibitors; the Shiply Park road has been resurfaced so encouraging travel at speed, and some misguided sole last year increased the speed limit to West Hallam from 30 mph to 40 mph. This has no doubt encouraged the increase in through traffic which accelerates dangerously and noisily out of the village from the crossroads and decelerates while still at speed as it approaches the village crossroads. As I have said there has been much huffing and puffing by Parish Council, local authority and police but the situation is deteriorating and those responsible for the inactivity are in my judgement in danger of collective negligence

Dog mess out side my house, 29th July

We live on a track called North lane, Sunny Hill, Milford, Belper, Derbyshire. People park there cars nearby in a layby then get their dog out. The dogs run on ahead up the lane and pooh out side our house. This happens regularly and we are fed up with it. Many children, bikes, walkers and our selves use the lane. This is quite a busy lane. We have got a no fouling sign out side our house which is largely ignored. Strimming the verge is hazadous. What can we do about it, what is the law?.
