Flytipping - communal alleyway blocked behind 25 Stanhope Road, 24th September

A double bed and several internal doors were dumped behind the propery at 25 Stanhope Road Littlehampton several months ago by the previous tennants, who moved out 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately the waste was not cleared when the tennants left. I was advised by the letting agent (Molica Franklin 01903 713999) that they were not aware of the problem and so they gave the tennant back their deposit. They advised that the property was let unfurnished so the landlord wouldn't be responsible for clearing the bed, but possibly the internal doors. They agreed to contact the landlord but so far he hasn't acted upon the request. The rubbish is blocking a communal alleyway which is a fire escape for several houses (mine included). I'm also worried that there could be a problem with vermin, there is a lot of cat faeces littering the area and local children play in the alleyway which isn't very safe with the rubbish there. I would be grateful if you could please investigate. I would prefer to remain anonymous as I don't want to attract any negative attention from the landlord or the current tennants. Thank you

Somebody not picking up dog poo, 9th March

Recently, when walking along the High Street In Findon Village, from Steep Lane all the way along the verge, there are mountains of dog poo left uncollected! This is somebody NEW to the village with a large dog, because I often walk along here but it has NEVER been as bad as this, and it would seem they walk this route regularly, and then up the large wide footpath to the Church because that's full of it too! Can we please find the culprit??? I doubt it, but he needs a fine, a very big one!!!! Thankyou.

Caravan parked on road, 22nd January

There is a caravan parked in St Peters Close and has now been there for 3 months. It is covered in a tarpaulin and is unlit. This is a narrow road and it obstructs the vision on the bend and will prevent Fire Engines and Ambulances passing at this point easily. We have contacted both the Police and Arun District Council but with no response. Having suffered a house fire some years ago I'm terrified that someone will die or be seriously injured.

Ferry Road: Dumped Computer Equipment, 29th December

Ferry Road seems to be well-known to fly-
tippers of all degrees. However, I have singled out the most glaring case I saw recently: since it involves electrical equipment there may even be a chance of identifyng the perpetrators. The picture shows about 9 VDUs and assorted equipment, very close to this spot. indicated(i.e. about 100 yards east of the footpath handpost)

Abandoned car, 12th December

A car was left partly on the carriageway of the busy A280 on Sunday 9th Dec obscuring the view up the road from our driveway, making it extremly dangerous to pull out of our drive into fast oncoming traffic. On Monday night the car was hit by another vehicle and smashed into the roadside verge. The police were involved and have stuck a note on the car but it has not been removed. Its position means that it is a great hazard both to us in accessing our property and to other users of the road, lorries and other large vehicles are continually having to slow down and swerve to avoid the vehicle. It needs to be removed as soon as possible to prevent another accident occouring.

Neighbours overgrown and neglected garden, 1st November

We have suffered the past 4 years with an extremely overgrown garden which blocks our light and is an eyesore. Our neighbour has his house on the market but is ignoring our pleas to fix this problem. We have written to him and spoken to him on many occassions, each time he fixes one little problem at a time, delaying doing the work desparately needed in its entirity. What further steps can we take. We believe rats are now living in the moulded rotten fence and the overgrown trees look in danger of collapsing. The tallest is appox 60 ft tall (2 double story houses on top of each other- including roofs). all over grown with bindweed and ivy overtaking it. I am genuinely worried and he is clearly unable to consider his neighbours. We have informed the local estate agents selling his property. Can we do the work ourselves and send him the bill? He lives at number 10 Botany Close. Photos will be posted shortly

Irresponsible dog owners, 1st November

Dear FIXMYSTREET,
We, as residents have an ongoing problem with dog owners who continue to let their dogs foul this close. People use the twiten between botany Close and The Thatchway (privately owned by Botany Close residents) to gain access to the beach. They then walk down Botany close and let their dogs foul, without picking it up. I have to constantly pick up dog mess from my front garden, so do my neighbours, some of which are elderly. There are no signs, no bins (only situated on the beach) and people are getting away with it. One lady who is elderly who lets her dog foul was confronted but said she cant bend down, so she couldnt pick her dog mess up? what can be done if anything?

Motor Home in High Trees, 6th August

A very old and delapidated motor home has been left in High Trees for the past three weeks. It has not been used in this time.

It an eyesore and the owner obviously does not live in the area.

Surely people must park such vehicles near their own premises and not blight other peoples neighbourhoods.

Can they be made to remove this?

Renault Motor Home, 31st July

A very old and delapidated Renault motor home, vehicle registration no. M934 ACR, has been left on the road in High Trees for some time.
To the best of my knowledge, it does not belong to anyone in the neighbouring streets and has either been abandoned or left there because the owner does not have room for it on their own property.

The road tax is in order so I do not know if there is anything that can be done to remove this eyesore, but it is a blight on the normally very attractive neighbourhood.

Your assistance would be appreciated.
