Motorcycles, 2nd December

As residents of B&NES Council we have to pay some £218 per annum for the privilege of trying to park our cars somewhere in the vicinity of our home in Edward Street. However, motorcycles can park for free. As of last week, 3 motorcycles were parked in Edward Street (which is only a small street, unlike Great Pulteney Street) and were so badly parked and took up so much space that permit paying residents could not park their cars. One bike in particular has not moved for nearly 2 months! If motorcycles are going to take up residents' paid for parking spaces then their owners should pay for the facility, the same as car owners. Correspondence to date with local councillors (Cllr Gerrish and Cllr Gazzard) has yet to produce any response to this aggravating issue.

Seagulls, 29th July

We really need to sort out the seagull issue in this area - not only are they very loud 24hrs a day (mainly noticed in the early hours of the morning) , but they cause a huge mess of our streets. It's not plesant or hygenic to step over soiled nappys in the morning. - suggest maybe that larger black bins are provided for the residents that live around this area?

Thank you

Dangerous entrance way to Monkton Combe Prep. School, 11th June

The problem is with the entrance to Monkton Combe Prep School. I walk past this entrance every morning as do hundreds of other university and school students.

On a number of occasions I have nearly been hit by SUVs pulling straight out of this entrance, and parking on the pavement whilst they wait to join the main road.

I am not sure whose responsibility it is to ensure the safety of site entrances... but it is certainly the councils responsibility to try to reduce dangers to pedestrians. Especially considering we are currently all being encouraged to walk/cycle as part of Jam Busting June.

Water leak across footpath, 18th May

There's been a water leak across the footpath by the canal for at least the last 12 months - it runs continuously from a shed by the path. I'm not sure who's problem it is, but it ought to be sorted out, because its such a waste of water.

Unsycronised Traffic Lights, 8th February

These lights need looking at, for some reason when they enable the Right Turn (heading towards Bristol), they don't allow traffic to continue forwards although they have full clearance - this causes queues in the morning and evening that seriously frustrate motorists, specially as there is no reason why there should be a red light.

Please investigate.
