Big hole in Road, 30th November

A large portion of tarmac where a trench has been dug across station rd, has worked loose leaving a pothole of about 6 inches deep in line with left hand side tyre. Vehicles are tending to avoid this by veering right in to oncoming traffic on a narrow road.

Large pot hole in road., 12th November

There is a very large pothole in the road as you approach Kearsley Roundabout (on Bolton Road) from Farnworth Market Street. The pothole is in the carriageway just before you would join the roundabout, in the middle of the carriageway. Those turning right (e.g. to join the M60) would be most likely to hit this. The pothole is very large; approximately 30/35 cm and seems quite deep.

Somerton Rd/Bury Rd, 23rd October

A) It took me 5 minutes to turn right on to Bury Road this morning (at 7.20am!.) This is not unusual.
b)More and more cars are turning left towards Bolton and dangerously u-turning back towards Bury to avoid the increasing delays.
c) At night when turning right I have twice been nearly hit by cars approacing from Bury, signalling left as if to turn down Somerton Rd, but in fact pulling up outside the Chinese chip shop.
This junction badly needs traffic lights. Its only a matter of time before there is a serious incident.

Street Sign, 23rd October

Hello Team,
The Westbourne Avenue street sign (Bolton, BL3 2JZ) on the corner of Westbourne Avenue and Braford Road has been vandilised, it is difficult to read upon approach. I bought my house just over a year ago in the street and many visitors have missed the street due to the un-readabilty of the sign. Please can a new sign be erected so it clearly shows the street name. This will also improve the perception given to the public regarding the area.

Kind Regards,
Mr U Patel.

Blocked access to my drive, 15th October

People regularly block the access to my drive and make it impossible for me to leave my drive with my car. Hence missed appointments etc. My husband is collected by commnuity transport and they are hindered by the parked cars. He can also need a ambulance at anytime (life & death situation)and they would not be able to access either.

Parking, 14th October

The parking of vehicles for short and long (overnight) periods close to the junction of Archer Avenue and Crompton Way is a hazard to road users and pedestrians alike. Often, as now, vehicles are double-parked. There have in recent months been serious accidents at this junction, and more are inevitable. Is it possible to add double yellow lines to the road within so many yards of the junction as a preventive measure?
