Light, 19th November

New property built at 12 Seafield Rd; has a bike shed, the height of which is higher than the adjoining fence. This has a light on which is on all night and shines into our property. If the light was positioned lower, it would not be a problem. Why in any case does a bike shed need a bright light on all night!

Obstruction of view, 15th November

This is a blind bend coming from either direction and when cars are parked on the bend (the Highway Code 217 says you should not) you have to go into the middle of the road and cannot see if there is any oncoming traffic. There is a traffic island on this bend which adds to the problem. There should be double yellow lines all along this bend.

Obstruction of view, 15th November

This is a very sharp bend but cars are always parking right on it despite the Highway Code 217 saying that you should not park on a bend. When cars are parked on the bend you often have to drive out into the middle of the road without being able to see if there is any oncoming traffic. There should be double yellow lines around this bend for at least 10 metres either way.

Bike lane exit, 3rd November

I feel that the bicycle lane on this stretch of the road needs to stop a couple of hundred yards back. I often see cyclists pull up to the roundabout and almost get hit by cars turning left (across them) when the cyclist is going straight over the roundabout.

By stopping the lane before the junction you're forced to merge with the traffic.
I have been hit off here as a cyclist (driver was not indicating to turn left)

Illegal right turns, 24th October

High volumes of vehicles are making illegal right turns from Durley Chine Road into Somerville Road. This has been reported to the police twice, nothing has been done, it is now up to the council to prevent these turns by engineering works. Vehicles waiting to turn right are backing up traffic onto a pedestrian light controlled crossing used by the elderly.

Over a year now, 9th August

MGB GT Reg POP199R. I have reported this vehicle to you before but it still remains. It has not moved for over a year now. The TAX has run out and it cant possibly have a MOT as most of its engine is in the boot. There are problems parking in the road we live in already, so why do we have to put up with other peoples rubbish as well. Please can you now remove it. Many thanks, Sean.

Haviland Road, 31st July

This is the first time I've reported an instance of dog fouling, but it is an ongoing problem in this street. There's hardly a week goes by without a fresh deposit of dog excrement somewhere or other on either side of the street on the pavement, roughly between the BCCA entrance and the junction of Ashley Road. There's probably more in the whole of the street, but I rarely walk in that direction. I've just spent the best part of an hour washing the pavement outside my property, having stepped in it. This must be the third or fourth time dog excrement has been dumped outside my property which has either been stepped in by me, or someone else. But it's certainly not limited to just my property - it's everywhere - certainly within the boundaries described.
