Speeding cars, 4th October

The speeds that some vehicles reach on this stretch of 30 mph road are very dangerous, the small square by the writing, 'Garenig bridge' is a childrens park. I was following a cement truck towards my house yeterday when THAT overtook a car! If someone was turning out of their drive there would have been carnage. Besides that and the usual 50 - 60 mph traffic we see daily at this point some clown on a motorbike has taken to doing speed trials along there most days reaching speeds of at least eighty mph, something has to be done.

Almost everyday a maroon Fiesta is parked on double yellow lines on the junction of Bishop Road and Cwmamman Road, blocking the vision of cars exiting Bishop Road. Please do something about it before there's an accident.

Terrible noise pollution, 25th September

Mini-motorbikes and scramblers causing terrible noise pollution in this garden from 1700 to 1900. Surely if youths from around the area are to use the garden primarily as a racetrack the council should be informed and consulted.

Dumping behind Hendre Road, 24th April

There is a fairly big problem with fly tipping at the Rear of Hendre Road, Llangennech.

It seems to be largely a problem with locals dumping their own household waste including tyres, plastics and rubble.

The rubbish can be found, quite easily, in the woodland area behind numbers (Approx) 85 to 111.
The access to this area is via the lane opposite the junction for Heol Plas Isaf.

I would prefer to remain anonymous as I am fairly new to the area. But it does aggrieve me as it could be a nice woodland and the rubbish is growing rapidly.

Persistent dog mess, 17th March

I am fed up with cleaning dog mess up from the pavement directly outside our property. This has been happening for some time now, even our friends are commenting about the mess everytime they vist. The problem is, dog owners are becoming crafty and walking their animals very early in the morning and very late at night so as not to be seen. We do not own animals ourselves (as we both work)and feel very cross when we step outside our front gate and see the mess which I am fed up with having to clean. Surely there is something that can be done to catch these people. How about a CCTV camera or a £100 annual fixed dog licence, maybe that would deter people from flouting the law.

Illegal Bonfires, 31st January

Local youths have been lighting bonfires at this spot which is a green area next to a wooden fence. They are burning plastic rubbish sacks, breaking off tree branches to feed the fire, and taking rubber tyres from nearby garages to make the fire burn. This problem has been investigated once by police and council officers and the youths were warned but they are continuig to do it, usually in the evening when they think no-one can see them.

Mini-motorbikes, 11th August

Mini-motorbikes being driven around this area again. Coming from a local councillor's residence, [edited for privacy - details sent to council]. Young children riding the bikes, no helmets, no t-shirts. Being driven on roads, through parks, thought this was meant to be cut down, not advocated by local councillors?

Storm drains, 21st July

I have noticed that the storm drains from the new school seem to be blocked. No water was coming through the channels or into the river from the storm drains during the recent heavy rain. Maybe this could be contributing to the problems on Upper Station Road.

Dangerous railway crossing, 18th July

Somebody has 'modified' the railway crossing here. It is now more like a severe speed bump, but with no warning signs. Maybe a sign or two to warn people to slow below 10mph would be nice unless you want people sueing for damaged suspensions.
