Abandoned Volvo, 20th November

A old red Volvo estate car has been left abandoned in our communal car park, opposite Number 44 Deerhurst Chase, for about 2 months now, it's tax is out of date and it has a flat tyre so obviously is not being used. The registration is D351TJN. Many thanks.

This problem has got worst since the burger van has arrived ,more so at the weekends with cans and rubbish and also graffiti on the walls ,this subway needs a camera or the burger van needs to move somewhere else ,please sort this dirty subway out.

2 abandoned vehicles on common access driveway for 7 years. Requests from neighbours to remove the vehicles for health and safety reasons for young children have been ignored.A request from the council to the owner of #52 to remove the vehicles will be appreciated

Broken Waste bin, 16th September

There is a Local Authority rubbish bin outside Castle stores at 99 Sandford Road Chelmsford which has had the upper part missing 'for ages'. In its current state rubbish correctly placed in it can simply blow away. It always seems to be full and perhaps should be replaced with a larger model...?

Light Pollution - Gt Leighs Racecourse, 28th August

The evening & night-time light pollution from Great Leighs racecourse on Tues & Thursday evenings is causing a serious environmental disturbance for a massive population around Great Leighs. The bright lights of the racecourse shine directly across the country-side for several miles, appeearing as if a line of bright flood-lights across the landscape, and are plain & bright as far as Ford End, Great Waltham & Great Dunmow, more than 6 miles away. The nightglow creates a bright transluscent glow that illuminates the landscape until after 12:30am at night (Thurs 27/8/2008), shining into windows making it necessary to pull curtains to creat darkness, even in the middle of nowhere. Something must be done to reduce the environmental impact of these lights.

Smokers debris in North Court Road , 12th August

Since the smoking ban on all NHS property the smokers from Broomfield hospital have adopted North Court Road, a single track lane with no footpath, as their recreational area. At any time there are typically 5-10 staff and patients smoking there. The verges are now absolutely carpetted in cigarette butts and other litter.

Drainage, 26th May

Since Railway bridge removed in 2007 the drains in the garage block are constantly blocked with heavy rainfalls. Houses 49,51 & 53 have twice had to call out a dyno rod as their houses are almost inaccessible.

This pothole is about 4 to 6 inches deep. I can't examinine it very closely, as it's not safe to do so. There's a smaller one next to it.

Broken road, 25th May

The road in longshots close is breaking up due to bad repairs carried out. Tarmac on concrete a bad mix. The council claim they will not fix until the holes are 50mm deep. this needs to be repaired as we bounce from hole to hole ans someone will loose control of a vehicle soon.

I'd like to complain about the sewerage smell coming from Brook Edn Sewerage Treatment works you can over the past few days. I'm not sure if this is someting you can assist with. I've reported also to the council

The Park Lane street sign has been driven into and is bent to such an extent that the name cannot be read. Probably happened on 26 March

Growing trees will soon make footpath less safe, 24th March

There is a footpath going from Harberd Tye up to Goodwin Close. I frequently have to use it at night to get to Church events in Lucas Avenue. So far I've been very happy that despite poor lighting, the grassy banks have made it easy to see if there is anyone lurking, and so I feel safe to use this path even at night. I see this week that someone (I assume the Council) has done a lot of planting on this bank, including all around the footpath. I don't know what these are but they appear to be bushes or trees. When they grow they will make the footpath much much more dangerous as people walking that way will not be able to see if anyone is lurking. The bushes will provide hiding places for potential attackers.I rely on this footpath at night to get to my Church and I only use it because I can see clearly that I am alone. I don't know how I will manage when it becomes less safe. I realise that these have only just been planted but please move some of them so that the footpath remains clear and safe.

People are complaining about the wild growth infringinging on the pavement. It is way overgrown and wild!

I hope that you are aware that there are travellers on Admirals park, extremely close to a residential area, Admirals Walk. There is the usual rubbish, tethered dogs and general nuisance to go with the 3 caravans, plus this is a lovely well used open space being ruined. I did speak to the park keeper who seemed to think that they would be gone by wednesday morning but they are still there today, Friday. Also, the gates have been left open so there is the likelyhood that more caravans can turn up unhindered by the landowner. I will of course contact neighbourhood watch, my councillor and my MP.

The street nameplate for East Hanningfield Road is too far into Southend Road. Many people driving along Southend Road think they are in East Hanningfield Road.

Over the past 6 weeks holes have been appearing in the car park at the shops off Havengore.Neighbours have made several phone calls but still nothing,damage to cars will be very soon.
