Traffic ignoring speed limit, 14th November

Have lived here 25yrs on this busy road,many drivers exceed the 30mph limit by a wide margin, and at 77 find it difficult to cross.why no signs to remind drivers to slow down & observe the limit? Is a pedestrian operated light crossing incorperated with the traffic lights at jct with Glendower offering safe access to the Post Office too much to ask for? what do you think?

.. and walked into my house by me! I'm afraid to get out of my car in the evening as there is no street light and there is dogsh!t all over pavement all the time. Can we get some signs put up and maybe get all dogs DNA swabbed. We could then match up the cr@p to the DNA database and go round and smear it all over the owner's face. Aaaarrgh! I don't even mind dogs - it's not their fault. It's the ignorant owners.

Dangerous fence , 10th November

There is a fence that is designed to separate New Century Park estate from Stoke ALdermoor. This fence has been destroyed by vandals, and now means that there has been an increase in vehicle vandalism, attempted house break-ins and anti-social behaviour. This fence should be replaced quickly, to prevent matters getting out of hand.

The traffic lights at the junction of Second Avenue and Lowfield Road have been taken out of action by local vandals... these vandals have also knocked down the fencing that is designed to keep them off the adjoining private land - this needs to be fixed.

Graffiti (of a penis!) on the back/garden wall of property on Wendiburgh Street. Wall backs on to public green between Wendiburgh and Langwood Close.

Blocked in drive, 25th October

I paid a large sum of money to have my drive done and a dropped kerb, knowing full well the issues relataing to parking in a cul-de-sac. As it is on a bend I am constantly blocked in and out by my neighbours who show little consideration and regard for others. As a result I have had to make alternative arrangements to get to work. It is very frustrating on my behalf. When I have contacted the police they seem to believe that it is a issue for the council. The council however, believe it is the polices' responsibility. As a result no one is helping.

The road surface on the Martyr's Close and Silksby Street is generally "cracked". Moreover, there are pot holes on the Martyr's Close.

Taxis plus!, 16th October

The junction of Stoney Road and Manor Road is becoming increasingly dangerous as is parking on Stoney Road between Manor Road and Quentin Park Road. Part of the problem is the sheer volume of taxis parked illegally albeit temporarily on double yellow lines on the bridge but also along Stoney Road. The road would be very much safer if parking was confined to one side only, preferable the south side as there are fewer driveways that side, and with residents having some priority. The taxi companies should be restricted to prevent the dangerous overspills or perhaps more stacking space made at the station, perhaps using the ground level of the new multi-storey car park. This is now the 3rd time I have had cause to bring this to your attention so I will be most grateful if some more positive action is taken. Thank you.

There are overgrown branches that are blocking the street light. As you can see in the picture it is blocking one side of the path entirely.

Hello The hesges that border the school are so overgrown that they cover the pavement. As you can see in the photograph, they are causing a health and safety hazard to pedestrians as we have to walk into the road to get by if there is more than one person. Please take care of the very soon as it is quite unsafe

The road surface along the stretch of this road is very poor- verging on undriveable. The stretch in question runs between meschines street and Quinton Park

The street light on the top slip road of Howes Lane as indicated on the map is very intermittent, and being the only light on this part of road and having trees around it, makes it very dark. Also the left hand speed light at the junction of Grange Avenue/Howes Lane is not working.

Untaxed vehicle, 1st August

Hi There's been an untaxed car parked badly in the street for over a week. It's quite new - a grey peugeot 300 series - so at first no-one thought it was abandoned but it doesn't seem to belong to anyone in the area and the tax disc has been removed. Thanks

HAZARD this newish bus lane in TileHill Lane is causing congestion for what, one bus service that runs into the city every half hour, on a very busy, complex 'Sainsburys' junction

Loose manhole cover slams down every time a car hits it - its loud even several houses down behind double glazing if a lorry goes over it. It would be most appreciated if it could be dealt with.

This is about the 4th or 5th time reporting this problem, there is no main street lighting along charter avenue, opposite houses 370 -380

I believe there should be repeaters at least every 500 m in a 40 mph area where there is lighting (350 m if on alternate sides. Inbound there are only 2 - or 3 if you count 1 that has been knocked over and 3 + 1 outbound (I think there is a 30 mph bit in the middle outbound. Not lawful and very confusing - as I discovered when I thought it was 30 mph and nearly got rammed.

Hello. My partner heard a vehicle in the back alley of Spencer Avenue South shortly before I came home at 1700hrs Thu 03 Jul 08. On my return home, I found that I could not get into my garage as a settee and various broken wooden bits of furniture had been placed there, along with bags of grass.
