Excessive speeding, 16th November

Between 6am and 9am and then again from 7pm right through the night, Cars and even massive lorries are regularly doing 40+mph in the 30mph zone and often up to and exceeding 60mph in the 30mph zone.

On several occasions after 9:30pm I have even witnessed a cars doing over 80mph along this little straight of road.

It is quite simply a death waiting to happen.

General state of the road, 22nd August

I would like to inform you aboout the state of road on Louisa Street.

It is incredibly bumpy, so bumpy in fact that you don't even notice the new speed humps.

The roads and footpaths on this road and in the general area all need renewing.

This may not be the most afluent of areas, but we shouldn't have to put up with poor quality roads just because of where we live.

I am sure that the roads and footpaths aren't like this on the west side of town.

The bottom half of Yarm road also needs resurfacing, its been dug up that many times that it too is also very bumpy.

Traffic Calming / Parking Problems, 4th July

I notice that Louisa, Dickinson and Ridsdale street are all getting traffic calming measures at the moment. I was wondering if Lawrence Street would also be getting these?

I would also like to comment on the parking on this street as we can have major problems parking due to the Dance School on Ridsdale Street and the Sikh Temple on Louisa street. Some weekends there there isn't a space to be found. A few weeks ago I had to carry my 1yr old toddler, and my weekly shopping from the bottom end of Ridsdale Street alll the way to my house on Lawrence Street. I would like to see the users of the dance school and sikh temple banned from parking on our streets.

Potholes on Carroll Road, 30th March

We have to avoid Edinburgh Drive (although we live there!) due to the damage done to our car by the speed bumps. So we take a long route home and have to go up Baydale Road, onto Hummersknott Ave, and then cross over to Carroll Road to get home. Where Hummersknott Ave meets Carroll road there are now potholes which catch the tyres every time you turn onto it.

Water not draining away, 16th August

when it rains my garden and drive fill up with water as the drains are not draining quickly enough. We have rodded our drains and they are not blocked so therefore it must be the main drain that is causing the blockage. We phoned northumbrian water who said that as there was no sewage it was not their problem and advised me to get in touch with the council as you will sort out problems to do with surface water. I hope this is true as this has been happening since january

Smashed Bus Shelter, 13rd March

The cycle path which runs past SG Petch's garage on McMullen Road, Darlington is covered in glass from a bus shelter which has been smashed. The issue of glass and dogs mess on all of Darlingtons cycle paths is a constant problem, so much so that I find myself using the road instead on the cycle paths, especially in the dark, when it's harder to see any potential hazards on the cycle paths - this totally defeats the objective of spending all this money of the darlington cycle network, if cyclists like me who use these routes everyday for commuting purposes are forced back onto the road in the dark when it's even more dangerous for cyclists.
Is it possible for the Highways dept to regularly check the Darlington Cycle Network and clear any glass and other debris.

Broken glass and litter, 6th March

This path always has some broken glass on it, and the hedges alongside are full of litter. I'm sure that a bin placed here will stop a lot of this reoccuring after tidying it up. (Also reported via StreetScene, but nothing done.)
